Theres a first for everything

Hello Everyone! I’m super excited, anxious, skeptical, and mostly nervous about starting this blog adventure. So many important people in my life have encouraged me to take this step but guys.. its scary! Will people get me? Do I have anything to contribute to this amazing community of creators? Why has no one invented a sarcastic font yet? What happens when I have nothing to say?

I’ve come to the conclusion that the only reason I want and need to blog is for me. For my own personal growth. To help myself see things in a new way and perhaps while I’m at it inspire somebody to create something beautiful that they will love forever. That’s why I create. That’s why I sew. To immortalize myself! Just kidding, mostly. I want everyone I love to be able to have a piece of me when I’m gone. Yes, that really is how my crazy brain works. My husband thinks its morbid, but I’m like… hey, I’m planning for the future! That’s awfully responsible of me. For my first post I wanted to share one of my favorite quilts I’ve ever made.
